6-8 June: Hort Connections

Hort Connections 2022 will be held in Brisbane following the successful, COVID-safe delivery of Hort Connections 2021.

The theme for Hort Connections 2022 – Growing Together – will highlight the importance for every sector of the horticulture industry to come together to build a stronger more resilient food system to feed local and international consumers.

Hort Connections speakers and exhibitors will showcase the latest research, technologies and innovations to offer new perspectives on how the industry can grow together.

20-21 May: Mildura Field Days

Mildura Field Days are family fun days out, including local and national exhibitors, something for children, and a wide range of exhibitors including ag-tech machinery, industry representation, local and state government and more.

Held 9am to 5pm, Friday 20 & 9am to 4pm Saturday 21 May 2022 at the Mildura Racing Club, 53 Racecourse Road, (off Cowra Ave) Nichols Point.

19-20 May: Sunraysia grower sessions

Sunraysia grower sessions planned for 4 May will now be postponed due to delayed harvest and grower availability.

The ATGA team will provide growers an update on restricted spring growth, including testing and analysis conducted to date.
 New dates for the grower sessions are as follows:
Mildura & surrounding growers
When: Thursday 19 May, 4.30pm (refreshments provided)
Where: Department of Primary Industries, cnr Koorlong & 11th streets, Irymple

Euston/Robinvale growers:
When: Friday 20 May, from 8am (for breakfast), 8.30 meeting start
Where: Joe Garreffa’s shed, Taylor Rd, Euston

The ATGA will facilitate – with the support of Agriculture Victoria – an approved employer workshop, with expert advice and information on Tuesday 7 September at 10am.

Join Approved Employers of Australia EO Steve Burdette, Plant Grow Pick director Mel Fangatua and DESE Seasonal Worker Program regional coordinators Sam Testa, Alastair Mitton and Adrian McMahon as they guide you through current workforce options and challenges, take a look at labour supply and demand, and demystify the process of becoming an approved employer.

21-22 May 2021 • The Mildura Field Days

Visit the Australian Table Grape Association stand, part of the Agriculture Victoria site at The 2021 Mildura Field Days, and catch up with our industry development team members Jenny Treeby and Karen Connolly.

They’ll be on hand to discuss the ATGA’s new extension project, chat to growers, and showcase some of the ATGA’s recent work.

20-22 May 2021 • Norco Primex Field Days

PRIMEX, the family-owned brand, has been a part of the Australasian agricultural field days calendar since 1985.

Always at Casino, in coastal northern NSW, PRIMEX has evolved from a localised event, with around 40 companies and a few thousand visitors, to one of the country’s leading primary industries expos. It now boasts in excess of 300 exhibitors, 1000 different companies and more than 25,000 visitors across the three days.

19 May 2021 • 2nd National Renewables in Agriculture Conference

The 2nd National Renewables in Agriculture conference and expo is on Wednesday 19 May in Dubbo. On-farm renewables are a valuable opportunity for farmers to cut costs and emissions. This event brings together farmers, agriculture and energy consultants, peak bodies and Government representatives to share stories of on-farm renewables, their business case and discuss what’s driving the transformation of energy use in agriculture.
