Australia’s table grape production is highly export-driven. Total national production volume is estimated at 220,000 tonnes annually, with 70 per cent destined for export.
Table grapes are one of the nation’s most valuable fresh fruit exports.
At the industry’s peak in 2019/20, table grape exports were valued at $623 million, from a total national production value of more than $800 million. In 2024/25, the industry achieved its second-highest result, exporting 141,960 tonnes valued at $572 million. This figure was 31% up on the 2023/24 export value of $476.73 million, and just above the 2022/23 result of $556 million. Price per kilogram of exported grapes declined -7.1%, to $4.11.
