Fruit fly MAT cup order form

MAT cups are designed to reduce the male fruit fly population. They are a powerful fruit fly management tool, using the Male Annihilation Technique (MAT), which uses pheromone to lure and suppress Queensland fruit fly (Qfly) populations.

Sunraysia table grape producers can now order Bugs for Bugs cardboard MAT cups directly through the Australian Table Grape Association at a subsidised rate.

Cost: $1.65 inc. GST (min. 100 units, max. 500). These MAT cups usually retail at $3.56 inc. GST.

The ATGA is subsidising 10,000 MAT cups for table grape producers only, as an initiative to encourage area-wide Qfly management in Sunraysia. Seasonal modelling has predicted Sunraysia Qfly populations are likely to be high in the 2024/25 season due to a high number of flies surviving over winter.
