ATGA representatives visited northern Queensland growers and farm managers last week to gain insights into production and harvest conditions.
Dimbulah producers had finished harvest and were completing their summer prune, while in Mutchilba, harvest had almost concluded, and most Emerald producers were about to begin harvest.
Production in these regions helps bridge the gap between growing regions and reduce reliance on imported fruit in domestic markets. The visits also provide an opportunity to hear directly from growers about their operations, seasonal conditions and industry priorities.
